A big part of my job as manager is facilitating new ideas in my department. I listen. I interact. And, when necessary, I intervene. Needless to say, I always weigh in with the ultimate goal of making something happen.
More often than not, that “something” refers to normal day-to-day business such as: monitoring efficiency in Studio work flow, or deciding better ways to schedule PTO, or finding solutions to prevent burn out, just to name a few.
Recently, however, a really powerful thing happened. I scheduled a brainstorming session with Bliss, our Studio comp artist. The Brief: Showcase the Studio.
It goes without saying that:
I get excited about achieving something new and helping others achieve.
I get excited when my Studio pulls together and inspires each other.
I get excited when fresh ideas meet fresh enthusiasm.
It goes without saying that I am excited now.
But that’s enough about me. Proudly, we announce "mama said we could draw", the McKinney Studio blog.
